BIO

Fjelsted’s career began in the 90′s in fine art, where his critically-lauded gallery works included painting, sculpture, installation, and photography. He soon segued into art direction for theater and commercial photography — and in 2001, wrote and directed the award-winning animated film The Firefly Man which screened at Telluride, sold to The Sundance Channel, and has been included on best of fests dvd compilations. Fjelsted has since designed over a dozen features, as well as numerous commercials, music videos, and short films. Recent credits include Little Birds (Sundance Film Festival 2011), Gregg Araki’s Kaboom (Cannes Film Festival 2010), and animation director for Little Joe (Berlin Film Festival 2009). His recent designs for international print galleries include hit tv series such as LOST, Desperate Housewives, and Law & Order. His latest feature design was for war drama The Moment starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Martin Henderson shot at the end of 2011.

Fjelsted lives in Los Angeles with screenwriter Dante Harper, their dog and cat.
